Guest Post: Mari From Design Shuffle

Hello, everyone! It's Mari here from Design Shuffle, a fabulous online community where interior designers from around the world can show their work and design enthusiasts can find interior design inspiration and decorating ideas. As part of my job, I often have the pleasure of visiting lovely blogs like Visual Eye Candy (Perfect name!) to share some of the great spaces I've discovered. Today's guest post is about colorful kitchens. For your design inspiration, we've pulled together several beautiful spaces filled with color and two that use pops of color to great advantage. Please enjoy!
Red may not be for everyone, but this gorgeous kitchen (and the two that follow) just might cause a few of us to change our minds. Wouldn't this be the perfect spot to cook and serve a romantic dinner for two in the warm glow of a golden chandelier?

A contemporary kitchen uses red sparingly in wall art to make a big impact against the black wall. The rope light along the floor and the gold lined black pendant like work beautifully in this space.
Here is one more kitchen where red plays off black to create stunning impact. Red walls in the hallway beyond makes red and white upholstery, red tulips and red tabletop accessories pop here at the breakfast bar.


And, now we head to the seashore for a beach house kitchen the uses turquoise and green to create an elegant cooking environment. I love the contrast in cabinetry styles and finishes.
This gorgeous space in deep blue and stainless steel has just become one of my favorite kitchen designs. Who knew what a stunning pair this brilliant jewel tone and silvery metallic would make?
Color and pattern reign in this contemporary kitchen. What a happy space it is—perfect for family gatherings where many cooks have room to show off their culinary skills.
Here is one of those kitchens that use pops of color to wonderful advantage. Living greenery and a gold framed mirror are all that this space needs to bring it to life. This is one of my favorites.
If you're looking for a colorful kitchen with a whimsical side, you'll want to add this one to your interior design ideas file. The colors are wonderful and the quirky metal stair rail seems to add rhythm and movement to the entire space.
