On another note, it's finally here the Big boy room reveal. Are you excited? This is the design board I came up with for Gavin's room, and now it's finally complete. I designed this for my sister. We had a teeny, tiny a budget to work with so we did a lot of DIY projects, that we worked on together. I'm so excited, I hope you like it!

We added orange trim to the basic white curtains to spice them up. I originally wanted a roman shade but my sister found these curtains on sale for a steal so we made them work. |
The ship is from Hobby Lobby. |
Gavin's little reading nook, he'll come sit here and read for hours. He loves it! |
We made an upholstered headboard and upholstered the box spring. You can find the headboard tutorial here and the pillow tutorial here |
Want to paint a striped wall? Learn how to here. |
Gavin loves his new big boy room. My sister is a teacher so she wanted a room that was also educational. The alphabet and the map on the wall, bring in some decoration yet educational elements to the room. He also has a spot to read and a chalkboard to draw on.
